Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Tremblay Fire Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our construction service/installation team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems, as well as providing technical support and training to our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Managers to obtain project information and provide feedback on project scheduling and status.
  • Assist Electrical Contractors during the installation, troubleshooting, and verification process of Fire Alarm Installations, ensuring that industry best practices are met.
  • Install and configure electronic components and terminate low-voltage field wiring neatly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other Installation team members and assist Project Managers and Engineering Consultants with Fire Alarm system design concepts.
  • Perform fire alarm inspections, repairs, maintenance work, and mentoring trainee technicians as required.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • CFAA registration or Electrical/Electronic or Licensed Electrician would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of provincial building codes and ULC standards.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and electronic test equipment.
  • Three years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician is an asset.
  • Simplex/JCI programming experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams about Fire Alarm Systems and Ancillary Control Circuits.
  • Ability to express clear technical solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
  • Strong focus on safety.
