Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Cost Estimator with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess foundational knowledge in cost estimation and be well-versed in estimating methodologies, software applications, and proposal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgetary pricing for all bidding projects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and applications engineers to define project requirements.
  • Examine client bid packages, project specifications, and drawing sets.
  • Request quotations from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain the estimating database.
  • Draft proposal content.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Engage with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to adjust cost estimates as necessary.
  • Develop post-award handover documentation.
  • Perform additional duties related to estimating and project quoting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience with InEight software is advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction, or a related Technical Discipline.
  • Familiarity with Water and Wastewater treatment processes is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, process, and design drawings.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Desire for continuous professional development.
