About the Program

The Leadership Track Graduate Program at Maple Leaf Foods is a three-year rotational development program designed for talented and ambitious graduates. This program provides a unique opportunity to develop leadership and cross-functional expertise, preparing participants for future leadership roles within the company.

Program Structure

The program consists of three diverse and meaningful roles across various areas:

  • Operations Role: Participants will gain hands-on experience and develop on-the-job supervisory skills in areas such as production, health and safety, food safety quality assurance, engineering, six sigma, and supply chain.
  • Commercial, Sales, or Marketing Role: Participants will immerse in our commercial organization, developing customer-centric skills and learning how to excel at customer relationships and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support Functions Role: Participants will work in support functions that impact and drive the business, such as finance, information solutions, human resources, purchasing, strategy, and project management office.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking:

  • Fourth-year graduates from university.
  • Passionate and committed individuals with a strong affiliation with Maple Leaf's Leadership Values.
  • Flexible and willing to relocate to take advantage of opportunities across Canada and the US.
  • Demonstrated leadership through work experiences, volunteer roles, community activities, and sports.
  • High degree of energy and initiative demonstrated through involvement in school, clubs, community services, and sports.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
What to Expect from the Recruitment Process

Participants can expect:

  • A mandatory in-person recruitment experience.
  • An opportunity to attend a virtual fireside chat with esteemed graduates of the LT program.
  • An offer to join the program following in-person interviews.
