About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cleaner to join our BGIS SCS Team. As a key member of our operational team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our designated zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Sweep exterior perimeter of the building
  • Empty waste receptacles and transport garbage to designated areas
  • Clean and store equipment and machinery
  • Replenish cleaning solutions and follow procedures for dilution of detergents
  • Conduct low and high dusting, glass cleaning, and bathroom cleaning as required
  • Notify supervisors of any maintenance needs

Requirements:

  • Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance in an institutionalized environment
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff, clients, and the public
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as assigned

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and talking, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
