Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary Long Term Occasional Teacher to join our team at the York Region District School Board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach secondary level subjects to students in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning
Requirements:
  • Special Education qualifications
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
