The primary deliverables will include a thorough assessment of the current state and a clear definition of the desired future state. This analysis will encompass an evaluation of existing processes, a gap analysis, and the identification of interim solutions to ensure the successful integration of the new data system within the organization.
Scope of WorkThe initial engagement is projected for a duration of 6 months, during which the consultant will:
- Conduct a comprehensive current state assessment.
- Define the future state and perform a gap analysis.
- Compile a detailed list of requirements essential for implementing a robust data solution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to finalize current and future state assessments and requirements.
- Foster relationships with all stakeholders to gain insights into their challenges, objectives, and needs.
- Develop a holistic understanding of the organizational processes, systems, and functions pertinent to the project.
- Employ standard industry techniques to document and convey the current and future states through various means, including process flows, data dictionaries, use cases, and specifications for business and functional requirements.
- Assess the efficiency of existing processes and provide recommendations, including a gap analysis, to streamline future business processes.
- Contribute to identifying a system that supports the project scope and aids in the development and management of future processes, standards, and guidelines.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the CRO industry is preferred, with a solid understanding of the landscape.
- Exceptional conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in analyzing large datasets, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing actionable recommendations.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and elaboration, including refining requirements with assumptions, constraints, dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Strong facilitation skills along with experience in business process mapping and analysis.
- PMI-PBA/IIBA Certification is considered a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with current programming and data analytics tools, as well as statistical analysis skills, is advantageous.
- Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale process improvement initiatives.
- Skills in process modeling and analysis, including information gathering, gap analysis between current and future states, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, Data Catalogs, and Power BI is a plus.
