Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Transportation Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Crew Haulers. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Provide customer service
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
- Valid driver's licence
- Steel-toed safety boots
This is a fast-paced environment that requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a garage or workshop setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.
