Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team at 1535179 ALBERTA LTD. DBA ROOMI HOLDING. As a Flatbed Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of vehicle condition, and ensure proper maintenance of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, secure cargo, and ensure safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide excellent customer service, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Logistics and Administration: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flatbed truck driving is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: A valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to sit for extended periods, attention to detail, and physical stamina to perform the duties of the job.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. The work environment is primarily outdoors, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in this language.
