Job Title: Livestock Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team at Northern Rockies Farms Ltd. as a Livestock Labourer.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily farm operations, including animal care, feeding, and maintenance of farm equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Clear fields of wood and stones
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues
  • Disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses
  • Handling and caring for animals
  • Marking livestock as proof of ownership
  • Monitoring animal health and detecting disease and health problems
  • Organizing tasks to accomplish work efficiently
  • Performing animal grooming activities and feeding
  • Cleaning stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on animal care and farm maintenance. The work site environment includes hay farming and sheep farming.

Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Standing for extended periods and walking
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
