Job Title: Collections Analyst

Southbridge Health Care LP is seeking a skilled Collections Analyst to join our corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON.

About the Role

As a Collections Analyst, you will support the collections function of Southbridge's Long-Term Care and Retirement homes. You will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager to monitor and manage resident accounts, review aging reports, and identify overdue accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage resident accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Review aging reports and identify overdue accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with accounts receivable and care home teams to ensure compliance with company collection policies.
  • Assist with collection efforts on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and written communication.
  • Negotiate payment plans or settlements when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, bad debt adjustments, and Ministry funding.
  • Prepare collection reports, highlighting key metrics.
  • Coordinate with the legal team on accounts requiring escalations for legal action.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years' experience in an accounts receivable, collections, or credit management role.
  • Experience in LTC environment/knowledge of MOHLTC guidelines is considered an asset.
  • Experience with PCC is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills (written and oral).
  • Kind & compassionate approach, combined with strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Post-secondary in areas of business, accounting, or related field considered an asset.
