Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the comprehensive cost oversight for the portfolio of projects, serving as the primary contact for all cost-related inquiries.
- Ensure project setups adhere to established cost management protocols and standards.
- Continuously monitor, control, and report on project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Inform management about the adequacy of cost measurement systems for all project activities.
- Provide strategic advice and solutions to mitigate risks that may hinder project goals, while recommending cost optimization strategies.
- Ensure timely and precise updates of cost reports at the conclusion of each reporting cycle.
- Analyze actual expenditure data and forecast future financial performance.
- Deliver regular updates on project cost status, highlighting any discrepancies and suggesting corrective measures.
- Track and report on purchase order commitments effectively.
- Analyze project timelines and budget variances, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of project management reports, with all variances thoroughly explained.
- Contribute to client reporting efforts.
- Prepare financial forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure cohesive project management.
- Lead the integration of project management systems.
- Work closely with project control teams, including cost controllers and planners, to maintain a unified cost-schedule management framework.
- Collaborate with planners to update estimates based on project progress.
- Engage with stakeholders to assess subcontractor performance.
- Develop dashboards to present key performance indicators visually.
- Undertake special projects and additional reporting tasks as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 15 years of experience in cost management, with a focus on leadership roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
