Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team in Crescent Valley, BC. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing general labor duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools. You will also be required to operate equipment as needed and assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools.
  • Operate equipment as needed, including heavy equipment and small power tools.
  • Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience on a road construction crew is an asset.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor setting, which may include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
