Overview of Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Analyst to become a vital part of our Enterprise Security Team, bringing a comprehensive technical and security-oriented background.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and implement security measures within applications through both automated and manual methodologies.
  2. Conduct thorough web application vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  3. Execute security evaluations for cloud environments, ensuring proper configuration across platforms such as Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and AWS.
  4. Perform security assessments for mobile operating systems and their applications.
  5. Test and validate security protocols for web services and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  6. Engage in code reviews and assist in maintaining secure code repositories.
  7. Assess and validate configurations of web applications secured by Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
  8. Enhance application visibility through security tools like SIEM.
  9. Monitor cyber incidents and manage security incident responses.
  10. Conduct Threat Risk Assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Development and/or Web Application Security, focusing on testing and mitigating risks associated with web applications.
  2. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC GWEB, or cloud-related certifications like Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate are advantageous.
  3. Proficient in web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, and SOAP.
  4. Familiarity with programming languages and technologies such as Python, .Net, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, and REST.
  5. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including CIS Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Application Security Testing and NIST Standards.
  6. Experience in static and dynamic application security testing using SAST/DAST tools and manual methods.
  7. Ability to assess security controls within Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
  8. Understanding of cloud security principles and deployment models.
  9. Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML.
