The Government of the Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Policy and Planning Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will provide expertise and advice in the review, analysis, and development of departmental policy, briefing material, decision-making documents, strategic plans, results reports, and program evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice to senior management on policy development and implementation.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to develop and implement departmental plans and priorities.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies affecting the department.
To be successful in this position, you will have a Bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, policy studies, Canadian studies, Indigenous studies, law, economics, public affairs, journalism, or a related field, along with two (2) years of related experience.
