About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team at G Star Homes as a Drywall and Acoustical Installer Helper. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of drywall and acoustical materials in residential construction projects.
  • Help to frame houses, erect walls, and build roofs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a stable foundation.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials to maintain a safe and organized work site.
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure the smooth operation of construction equipment.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants to prevent environmental hazards.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Apply coats of stucco to exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work site environment: Outdoors, noisy, and dusty.
  • Work setting: Construction.
  • Security and safety: A criminal record check is required.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, work under pressure, tight deadlines, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, reliable, and a team player.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
