Job Title: Transport Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Mechanic to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of mechanical units and components.
  • Inspect and diagnose faults and malfunctions in truck systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension.
  • Estimate and perform repairs, including parts and labor costs, to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of issues.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices as needed.
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification.
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
