Nursing Care Support Worker Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team at The Alexander Muskoka Operations (Gravenhurst) LP. As a key member of our nursing care team, you will provide high-quality support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Supply and empty bed pans, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for our residents.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and precision, maintaining their comfort and dignity.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines, encouraging physical activity and mobility.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring our team has the necessary resources to provide excellent care.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with respect and compassion, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring their safe and comfortable transfer.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, providing necessary support and assistance.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, providing critical care and support.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, responding to changing situations and needs.
