We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Support Teacher to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia. As an Education Support Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special learning difficulties and providing high-quality teaching and care.
Key Responsibilities- Teach across all year levels (K-6) and provide individualized support to students with diverse needs.
- Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver engaging and challenging curriculum programs.
- Provide support and guidance to students with disabilities and learning difficulties, and help them to achieve their academic and social goals.
- Work closely with parents and carers to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience working with students with special learning difficulties.
- Have a strong background in classroom management strategies and knowledge/experience of trauma-informed practice and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Be able to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
