About the Role

CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Management Leader to join the Enterprise Data Office. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and implementation of a Data Quality Management solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement standardized frameworks, processes, and controls to measure and improve data governance performance.
  • Participate in corporate information and data governance committees to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to identify opportunities to leverage data for business advantage and document data-driven business initiatives.
  • Lead the management of data-driven initiatives and ensure they support business objectives aligned with CMHC's strategic goals.
  • Operationalize data management and data quality practices within the data and analytics operating model.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive corporate information governance policies.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as computer systems, information management, or business administration.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data governance and management, including 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience with data management practices, processes, and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and performance measures.
  • Extensive knowledge of data management and data quality standards, implementation approaches, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence behaviors and provide strategic advice to Senior Management.
  • Advanced communication skills with experience in developing and operationalizing policies, directives, and standards.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad understanding of mortgage loan insurance, affordable/social programs, real estate, and/or finance.
  • Certified Information and Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) certification or equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA) and/or Certified Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) certification.
  • Awareness of data privacy regulations and Data Quality industry standards.
