Description:

As a Health Care Aide, you will work as a collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team providing personal assistance to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to assist with daily living activities, such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistance to patients, including support with activities of daily living
  • Assist with organized activities or programs
  • Observe and report on patient's mood, health, and wellbeing
  • Work under the supervision of a regulated health professional

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Medication Assistance Program (MAP)
