Job Description

At Daniels Health, we are committed to making healthcare safer through the reduction of needle-stick injuries and cross-contamination. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Route Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and communicate minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Load and unload trucks by securing items to prevent damage and completing daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.
  • Deliver and collect products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serve customers by understanding, resolving, and/or forwarding customer questions.
  • Complete Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis.
  • Accurately record information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.
  • Comply with all environmental and health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Class 5 license with air brakes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling weights of sixty pounds or more.
  • Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind-the-wheel driving experience (within the last 36 months).
  • Clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract (dated within the last 30 days).
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test, and a driver's road test or equivalent.
  • Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations.
  • Ability to complete compliance paperwork and all shipping documents/bill of lading.
