Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will engage in essential procedures within both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments. Your work will involve collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, focusing on the collection and analysis of biological samples, as well as conducting X-ray examinations and ECGs.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Patient Preparation: Ensuring patients are ready for procedures.
  • Venipuncture: Performing blood draws with precision.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine checks and upkeep of laboratory and imaging equipment.
  • Quality Control: Implementing quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards.

Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I
Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH
Unit and Program: Lab and Diagnostic Imaging
Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Hours per Shift: 7.75
Shifts per Cycle: 6
Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call

Salary Range: $35.45 - $46.69

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT) program.
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Skills:

  • Recent experience in cardiology.
  • Proficiency in computer systems.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment.
  • Experience with Epic LIS system.
