About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at GOAT Kitchen and Meats. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and processing meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meats: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting.
  • Meat Preparation: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Meat Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale.
  • Meat Removal: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale.
  • Meat Pricing: Price meat products and sell meats to customers.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, grind meats, and train meat cutters.
  • Specialty Products: Make special sausages and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
  • Meat Presentation: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
Requirements
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: The role is physically demanding and requires hand-eye coordination.
