About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team at GreatWest Kenworth Clairmont. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged heavy duty equipment structures and interior and exterior finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all truck body / structural systems used in the Kenworth product line or similar products.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals on paper and in PC-based formats.
  • Backup painter for main Maintain personal and company tooling that gets used to do the job.
  • Repair body and structural damage/ defects.
  • Clean, prep, and paint to provide a high-quality finished product.
Requirements
  • Read and use documents.
  • Be able to think, plan, make decisions and problem-solve to complete jobs.
  • The ability to withstand work-related deadlines and pressures.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Stay up to date with repair techniques, paint finishes, and related products.
  • Some work experience in the trade along with the basic educational requirements that would allow one to complete an apprenticeship program if required OR, a few years experience in the auto body industry.
  • Frame Straightening Experience considered an asset.
