About the Role
As a Health & Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees at our facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs that comply with all applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and best practices across the facility.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified hazards and improve safety performance.
- Provide training and education to employees on HSE topics, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
- Manage the facility's capital budget expenditures related to HSE initiatives, ensuring that budgets are met and variances are explained.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of operations.
- Stay abreast of changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a health and safety management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of success in implementing and maintaining effective HSE programs.
- Strong understanding of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
