About the Role
The Senior Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for promoting and delivering advanced risk management techniques to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will act as a partner to our customers, providing advisory, consulting, training, and education programs to help them manage their risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and customer interviews to identify hazards and controls for risks.
- Develop best practices and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in risk management.
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Brokers to provide comprehensive risk management solutions.
- Work autonomously in the field and in the office to deliver results.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education and/or industry-specific experience in engineering or engineering technology.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a risk consultant or in a related field.
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire/building codes.
- Experience in assessing commercial automobile fleets is an asset.
- Level 1 Infrared thermography certification is an asset.
- Experience in agricultural and/or course of construction (COC) risk is an asset.
- Advanced level of skill and knowledge understanding of risk and insurance management.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, be outdoors, and potentially climb ladders.
