About the Role

C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team in a permanent position. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment in our industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Installation and Testing: Install, test, and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Quality Control: Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors, and perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
  • Equipment Setup and Dismantling: Set up and dismantle equipment, and move and align subassemblies and components.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field of employment.
  • Certifications: Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Language: Fluency in French.
