As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering client relationships through both psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions, as well as individual counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the mission and core values of The Salvation Army.
- Possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience in community social services.
- Experience with 12-Step-based counseling methodologies is advantageous.
- Demonstrate knowledge in areas such as substance use disorders, homelessness, poverty challenges, and concurrent mental health issues.
- Exhibit the ability to facilitate group discussions, engage in critical thinking, and establish appropriate boundaries.
- Showcase strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commit to working in an environment free from drugs and alcohol.
- Meet the requirements for enhanced security clearance.
- Possess an ICADC, CCAC certification, or a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
