Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to support our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and providing technical support to other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental projects to minimize the company's ecological footprint.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, and maintain accurate records of compliance.
- Provide technical support to other departments, including research and development of new environmental initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in environmental sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the environmental consulting or sustainability industry.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
