About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team at J & A Landscaping. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various tasks related to lawn care and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly anchored and secure.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse to keep the work area clean.
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Perform tree removal tasks as required.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Previous experience in the field is not necessary, as we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work is a must.
  • Current legal ability to work in Canada is required.
  • Proximity to the advertised location is preferred.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work in various locations and weather conditions.
