About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at Lonsdale Launderette. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for operating dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals as required.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles to ensure they are presented in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles, ensuring they meet the establishment's quality standards.
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure they meet the establishment's quality standards.
  • Match invoices or tags with dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week.
