Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Caregiver to provide compassionate support to an elderly individual facing challenges such as early-stage dementia, limited mobility, and partial hearing loss.

Employment Details

This is a full-time position requiring flexible hours, including weekends. Proficiency in English or French is necessary.

Compensation

The salary ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, in accordance with provincial minimum wage regulations.

Location

The caregiver will be working in a comfortable residential setting, with convenient access to public transportation and local amenities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and supervision to the client.
  • Assist with personal hygiene and bathing needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, including kitchen clean-up.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dusting.
  • Collaborate with another caregiver to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of secondary school education or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in caregiving, particularly with Alzheimer’s patients.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and capable of working independently.
  • Patience and understanding in managing the needs of the elderly.
