We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team in Western Canada. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in the planning, design, and construction of bridges and other transportation structures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and provide technical direction and oversight.
- Manage project teams, control project budgets and schedules, and quality control of deliverables.
- Complete preliminary design / bridge planning activities and deliverables.
- Complete detailed structural design calculations and analysis.
- Perform technical reviews of work prepared by colleagues for quality assurance purposes.
- Develop and review engineering of new bridges and bridge rehabilitation design;
- Produce project construction quantity and cost estimates, contract documents and specifications.
- Provide assistance in the support and development of bridge group staff.
- Assist team leadership with growing the bridge group and pursing new business opportunities and clients.
- Provide engineering expertise and services related to the design, rehabilitation, evaluation, inspection of bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines including highway, foundation, environmental, drainage, and electrical.
- Provide construction administration liaison and complete construction supervision and site inspections on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
