Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary:

This position involves providing mental health services to individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-informed treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment services to clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations and mental health conditions.
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed treatment modalities and best practices in mental health care.
