Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our production team at NOV Inc. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a critical role in the assembly, testing, and repair of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test a variety of mechanical components using standard and non-standard tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical specifications, diagrams, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly and repair.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency.
  • Operate rigging equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely and effectively.
  • Participate in regular shop organization and cleanliness exercises to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Train new employees in assembly operations and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarize yourself with safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with shop maintenance requirements and supply your own tools as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must demonstrate aptitude in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Shop environment with possibility of exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
  • Physical demands include squatting, bending, lifting 60lbs, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, climbing, and working near moving equipment.
