The Canadian Red Cross (CRC), a well-respected non-profit organization recognized for its commitment to humanitarian efforts, is looking for a Medical Equipment Technician to support the medical equipment loan program in British Columbia.

In collaboration with the Medical Equipment Distribution Supervisor, the successful candidate will handle tasks related to the delivery, reprocessing, inspection, and repair of mobility devices and safety accessories for bathrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and disinfect medical equipment in accordance with established protocols.Inspect equipment, rectify any defects, and repair items following manufacturer specifications.
Record repairs performed and update equipment records in the inventory management system.
Transport equipment between program warehouses as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma with post-secondary education in a relevant field.At least two years of experience using basic manual and electrical tools or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Capability to lift and carry loads up to 35 kg (80 pounds).
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills (experience in medical equipment repair is advantageous).
Excellent verbal communication and customer service abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
Certification in CPR or first aid completed within the last two years or willingness to obtain during the probationary period.
Experience engaging with volunteers and diverse communities.
Working Conditions
Standard seven-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.The candidate must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, up to 75% of the workday.
