Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team at Greenstone Gold Mines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans in line with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide procurement solutions that meet their needs.
  • Track deliveries and ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in a professional association (Supply Chain Management).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, including 10 years at senior level.
  • Minimum 10 years end-to-end procurement process with varying size contracts.

Working Conditions:

This position will be remote with some travel required to the GGM Mine site based in Geraldton, Ontario. Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
