About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at THE TANDOOR. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as overseeing kitchen operations and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase the flavors and traditions of East Indian cuisine.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all inventory is ordered and stocked in a timely manner.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Working Conditions
