Role and Responsibilities
The primary function of the pedagogical advisor is to offer guidance, support, and resources to educators, trainers, and management involved in teaching services. This role focuses on andragogy, especially in the context of corporate training, educational programs, teaching methodologies, assessment techniques, and innovation in education.
About the Center for Continuing Education
The Center provides a variety of training options, both credited and non-credited, to individuals and corporate clients. With a diverse portfolio of mandates each year, we collaborate with both local and international organizations. The Center operates in key sectors including health, social services, management, IT, and engineering, with a strong emphasis on the manufacturing industry.
Key Duties
The pedagogical advisor for business services will play a crucial advisory role, focusing on:
- Engaging with regional businesses
- Assessing corporate training needs
- Building partnerships within the local business ecosystem
- Identifying training development opportunities for companies
- Exploring funding options for corporate training initiatives
- Preparing documentation for grant applications and tailored training proposals
- Overseeing the development, execution, and evaluation of corporate training programs
- Creating service offerings for businesses and negotiating contracts
- Coordinating project completion with various resources
- Delivering exceptional customer service to enhance retention and referrals
- Promoting services through participation in industry events
- Recruiting trainers and consultants as needed
- Managing administrative tasks in collaboration with support staff
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field.
Additional Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Proven track record in business development and partnership building.
- Strong knowledge of the business landscape and organizational operations.
- Experience in designing custom training solutions.
- Ability to analyze profitability and negotiate agreements.
- In-depth understanding of the local job market.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Familiarity with pedagogical strategies and andragogy principles (preferred).
- Knowledge of distance learning technologies (preferred).
Selection Process
