About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Child Development Associate to join our team at Stepping Stone Child Development Center Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts that foster creativity and imagination.
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
  • Language and Communication: The primary language of communication is English.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
Work Setting

This role is based in a day care centre or nursery school setting, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for our staff and children.
