About this Opportunity

The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the consistent application of COIMS and overseeing the Conventional competency assurance program. This position requires a strong understanding of H&S and regulatory requirements, as well as leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and promote a culture of integrated operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair of the Conventional coaching committee
  • Steward for the Conventional competency assurance program
  • Conventional Field Operations lead for COIMS initiatives, including elements 2, 5 & 9
  • Acts as the key representative for Field Operations on corporate initiatives
  • Perform assurance activities on both Health & Safety and Operations related activities
  • Participate and support internal/external compliance audits
  • Monitor and identify any potential gaps to HS&E and operations policies, procedure or regulatory requirements
  • Steward of Conventional control documents & records program
  • Supports alignment within the four Core Districts through regular interactions with front line field staff & leaders
  • Key field leader for the roll out of various Field Operations initiatives
  • Mentor future leaders
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years of conventional oil and gas field experience
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of H&S and regulatory requirements
  • 3+ years of leadership experience will be considered an asset
  • Class 5 Drivers license
