General Overview
The Investment Analyst will support the Investment team by engaging in all facets of asset, equity, and debt transactions within the metals and mining, clean energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors from inception to completion.

This position necessitates a solid understanding of the deal and evaluation cycle, exceptional analytical capabilities, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

The ideal candidate should be willing and available to work in the office five days a week and beyond regular hours as required by business needs.


Role-Specific Responsibilities

Supporting members of the Investments team:

  • Contribute to all phases of asset, equity, and debt transaction execution, from origination to closing in the metals and mining, clean energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
  • Prepare and present materials for investment committee meetings, addressing topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity, valuation comparisons, and general corporate finance.
  • Build and review financial models, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of underlying assumptions and projections, conducting detailed analysis, and drawing informed conclusions.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments, identifying key merits and risks, reviewing documentation, and collaborating with subject matter experts.
  • Research market and corporate information to identify relevant industry trends and developments, including the energy transition, new technologies, and ESG considerations.
  • Build and maintain industry databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Assist in preparing presentations for capital raising activities, investor updates, and strategic third parties as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management teams of portfolio companies to support Kinterra's value creation initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, or science.

- Available immediately with 1-2 years of experience in private investments, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, equity research, or corporate development considered a strong asset.

- Knowledge and interest in the energy transition, metals and mining, metal processing, renewables, battery technology, and power grids is preferred.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively both independently and collaboratively, and excel under pressure.

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail, and client focus.

- High proficiency with business software, analytical tools, and financial data portals such as Capital IQ.

- Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communication skills.
