Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at Alberta Inc.

Job Summary:

The Retail Buyer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices and credit terms, and selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Maintain Contact with Suppliers: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality merchandise.
  • Negotiate Prices and Credit Terms: Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals.
  • Select and Purchase Merchandise: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, taking into account factors such as quality, price, and availability.
  • Review Requirements and Determine Quantity: Review the requirements of our establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, and organized.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
