Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the security infrastructure for control systems.
  • Lead the risk assessment and vulnerability management strategy for the operational technology environment, focusing on the implementation of security frameworks.
  • Manage cyber incident investigations and response strategies.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance OT security systems in alignment with industry requirements.
  • Support compliance with Critical Infrastructure Protection standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats, providing insights on potential impacts to the organization.
  • Stay informed about the evolving cyber and physical threat landscape related to control systems.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer designation with the Association of Professionals in Engineering and Geoscientists in Alberta.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in securing operational technology infrastructure, preferably within the electrical utility sector.
  • Familiarity with Control System communication protocols.
  • Proficient in cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
  • Strong networking skills, particularly in TCP/IP.
  • Experience with incident response tools and digital forensics.
  • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration.
  • Familiarity with network automation technologies.
  • Extensive experience in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • In-depth understanding of operational technology security principles.
