About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Charcuterie Assistant at Metro. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock merchandise, including meats, cheeses, and other products, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and display products, such as slicing meats and cheeses, and arranging displays.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
