Position Overview

The Global Learning Services Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for both international and domestic students at Khoury College. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Learner Support, this position is dedicated to providing essential language, cultural, and academic assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Development: Organize and lead cultural initiatives, workshops, and English language tutorials to support student engagement and learning.
  2. Event Coordination: Plan and execute events that introduce students to local culture and history, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.
  3. Student Engagement: Actively participate in student events, providing information about Global Learner Support services and representing the department effectively.
  4. Service Management: Oversee the scheduling and delivery of support services, collaborating with various teams to enhance student experiences.
  5. Feedback Implementation: Collect and analyze student feedback to refine and improve support programming.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a background in student support within higher education. A master’s degree is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by international students and second language learners is essential.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this role is CAD $61,105 to CAD $77,910, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule

This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to accommodate student needs.
