Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving and distributing production materials in a safe, timely, and accurate manner. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of materials
  • Receive, locate, and stock materials, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Track production back-order parts lists, ensuring timely delivery of materials to production teams
  • Assist in daily inventory reporting and cycle counts, maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Deliver materials to required areas within the production facility, ensuring efficient and safe transportation
  • Check materials and supplies, reporting low stock levels and discrepancies for accounting and record-keeping purposes
  • Report damages and discrepancies for reimbursement and record-keeping purposes
  • Ensure incoming materials are received in a timely manner, investigating packing slip discrepancies and entering receipts accurately
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Mark purchase order numbers on required materials, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management
  • Move and issue KANBAN parts to production teams, ensuring efficient and timely delivery
  • Ensure all MTRs are accurate and delivered to the Engineering Lead, maintaining high-quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working area, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Provide backup support for the Supervisor as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Requirements:
  • Experience in a related Shipping/Receiving position, with a valid forklift/counterbalance lift truck ticket
  • Proficient in Windows and Outlook systems, with knowledge of heavy equipment parts considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
