About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our Maintenance team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in our facility for the daily production of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Enhance equipment performance by recommending improvements and implementing them.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • Operate production equipment and check performance as required.
  • Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and health and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario Millwright license.
  • Own hand tools.
  • Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
  • Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge of seaming machines and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a definite asset.
  • Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Available for weekend overtime as production demands require.
  • Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Standing and walking 95% of the time.
