About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Robinson Roofing and Sheet Metal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roof Installation and Repair: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Single-Ply Roofing: Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Roof Maintenance: Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Coatings and Finishing: Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Metal Roofing: Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Youth Support: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Indigenous Support: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provides cultural competency training to all employees.
  • Mature Worker Support: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
