Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at Citylitics, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines using Apache Airflow, BigQuery, and other Google Cloud Platform services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to define data requirements and design efficient data models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines using Apache Airflow, BigQuery, and other Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and ensure data quality and pipeline uptime.
  • Work closely with data analysts and stakeholders to define data requirements and design efficient data models.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting for data pipelines and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and experience working with BigQuery.
  • Experience with cloud-based data processing frameworks like Apache Beam (ideally with Google Cloud Dataflow).
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, and Vertex AI.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
